The Town of Pike Road cut the ribbon Monday on its new tennis courts at the racquet complex.
The facility is located next to Cottonwood Golf Club on Byron Nelson Boulevard and features six tennis court that are open to the public.
The courts will be also be used by the school’s tennis teams during tryouts, matches and tournaments.
The grand opening is part of the town’s ONWARD capital improvement project initiative, which helps enhance public spaces and foster community engagement.
Town officials say the initiative helps improve the quality of life for people who live in the town.
In addition, the town also announced the next steps in the initiative, which includes the beginning stages of an FFA barn, new batting cases and a cross country training facility.
